Carl De Keyzer (1958, Belgium) works as a freelance-photographer since 1982; he became a member of the Magnum Photo Agency in 1994. He published four books - Oogspanning (1984), India (1987), Homo Sovieticus/USSR-1989-CCCP (1989) and God, Inc. (1992) - and received many awards, including the "Grand Prix Triennale de la Ville de Fribourg" (Fribourg 1988), the "Prix du Livre" (Arles 1990), the "Eugene Smith Award" (New York 1990), and the "Prix de la Critique - Kodak" (Paris 1992).
